The hotel's excellent location makes it possible to visit the main sites on foot. An ancient hotel, there is no elevator, but this can also be a plus for lovers of historical buildings. We booked a room for 3 people, we actually got two rooms, my daughter was very happy with her room in the same appartement

PRO - amazing location. Notre dame / Pompidou at either end of the street. Right in heart of Le marais. entrance to Lign 1 Hotel d'ville exit on the same street. Other lines 10 mins away - if youre gay it right in the center of the main group of bars. - bathroom looked recently furnished. Mattress looked new. But carpet and curtains a bit dated. - front looks tiny and corridors narrow but hotel room was normal size. Room all around the bed and lots of storage. My room overlooked courtyard but it meant you couldnt hear the bars. There were road works which managed to vibrate the whole block. If youre going soon April 2024 they hay be still happening. Not super load but noticable. CONS - limited by it being in a old building. Not much they can do. Floor sloped in one corner. Though stairs was very noisy. - my room was near the stairs and you could hear people come and go a lot. Most nights I was out drinking so slept through it but on my last night I didnt drink and was woken a lot by footsteps up the stairs along corridor and in bedrooms above. I had earplugs anyway. - my room was in the center. If you want room overlooking the street check other reviews as may be noisy. - breakfast area was v small. very. Breakfast selection was limited but tasty. But youre in the marais so surrounded by places to eat. There was outside area for breakfast but not warm enough yet. - Cleaner oddly kept running away with the DO not disturb sign or insisted on knocking when the sign was on the door on Sunday morning to give me towels. Please give the cleaner some plastic bags to leave towels on the door handle. Theres a reason I dont want to be disturbed. :) - could not get the aircon unit to operate just said CENTRALE so wasnt sure it if was controlled centrally or not on yet as it was spring but it hit 25 degrees so room got very warm. I should have chased reception but had just had a shower so didnt. I opened both windows but was attacked by mosquitos at the top of Arc de Triompha and Sacre Coure so didnt want to leave windows open all night. WOULD YOU STAY AGAIN - yes but depends on budget. If I found a newer hotel in same location for similar price I would change hotel as that stairs was noisy. They refurbished the bathrooms recently I think investing some more money on thicker carpets and adding more support to the stairs to make it less noisy would greatly improve reviews as its has an amazing location. - side note - avoid the Eaterly Italian nearby. looks amazing but and they forgot to add egg to my Carbonara!!

The location was great. Staff were friendly and communication worked well in English. Free coffee (which is a great bonus in a city where coffee costs 5-6€). Small and clean rooms. Would recommend and would stay for another vacation here.

If budget and location are your two important factors in finding a hotel then this is the perfect place! No frills place, bed is comfortable, shower works normally, and we just came back just to sleep comfortably. Location is perfect - we are in Le Marais, a very lively and fun neighborhood with tons of cafes and shops, metro is at the foot of the hotel, 10mins from Notre Dame, 5 mins Seine River, 10 mins to Pompidou. For those with large suitcases, be aware, lots of stairs to go up! Overall great experience for us.
